Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali lead England to 182

Eoin Morgan and Moeen Ali show good form with the bat to help England to score 182 runs in their T20 clash with Australia.

Captain Eoin Morgan installed himself as England's new leading T20 run-scorer as his side posted 182-5 in their encounter against Australia in Cardiff this afternoon.

The skipper, who was accompanied by Moeen Ali for much of his time at the crease, scored 74 runs off 39 deliveries before he was caught by Shane Watson.

As for Ali, he remained unbeaten at the crease when England had completed their allotted 20 overs with 72 to his name, which was his highest ever score at international T20 level.

Earlier in the innings openers Jason Roy (11) and Alex Hales (3) fell relatively cheaply to Pat Cummins, while Jos Buttler (11) and Sam Billings (2) were also dismissed without having troubled the score too much.

In reply, Australia must score 183 runs to win the encounter.
