England all out for 303

South Africa bowl out touring England for 303 runs during the first innings of the opening Test match in Durban.

England managed to put 303 runs on the board from their first innings of the opening Test match in Durban this morning.

On day one the tourists lost captain Alastair Cook, Alex Hales and Joe Root relatively cheaply, but thanks to James Taylor and Nick Compton, they recovered to reach the close of play on 179-4.

However, while Dale Steyn was England's tormentor with the ball yesterday, today it was Morne Morkel that did the majority of the damage before lunch.

He claimed the wickets of Compton (85), Ben Stokes (21), Moeen Ali (0) and Chris Woakes (0) as England struggled to put together any significant partnerships.

There was some late resistance from Jonny Bairstow (41) and tail-ender Steven Finn (12), but when they were removed by Kyle Abbott and Steyn respectively, the unbeaten Stuart Broad with 32 runs to his name had run out of partners. Incidentally, the wicket of Finn is the 50th that Steyn has snared for himself against the English.

The hosts will now head to the crease after the resumption with two sessions of the day left to play.
