Luke Wright makes Test cricket admission

Luke Wright admits that his chances of playing for England at Test level have probably passed.

Luke Wright has conceded that he may never get the chance to represent England at Test level ever again.

Four years ago the 28-year-old was tipped to replace the retiring Andrew Flintoff as England's all-rounder.

However, since then his career has taken a different course, with the right-hander having appeared in numerous Twenty20 and one-day international competitions.

As a result, Wright has admitted that his time with England over the longer format of the game may have come and gone.

"I've had to work at the forms where I was playing for England and things have naturally gone that way," he told the London Evening Standard.

"My focus naturally shifted. When I played in the Big Bash in 2012, it went better than I could have dreamed of and after that, I was suddenly getting offers to play in every competition."

Wright has signed up to play for the Pune Warriors during the upcoming Indian Premier League.
