Chirs Woakes has claimed that there are "exciting times" ahead for England in all forms of cricket.

The England team are currently first in the ICC Test rankings and can reach the top of the ODI rankings with a 5-0 series victory over Australia in the current series.

Woakes said: "To get number one status in Test match cricket was huge, and one-day cricket is the next target.

"It's exciting times ahead for English cricket."

The Warwickshire bowler is expected to be named in the England team to face Australia at Edgbaston in the third ODI at Edgbaston tomorrow.
