James Whitaker: 'We expect to rotate our seam attack'

England national selector James Whitaker reveals that the Three Lions will rotate their seam bowlers in the five-match Test series against India.

England national selector James Whitaker has expressed his belief that Alastair Cook's side will rotate their seam attack during the Test series with India.

The Three Lions recalled Ben Stokes to the squad ahead of the first Test at Trent Bridge next week, and the Durham all-rounder is expected to battle with Chris Jordan for the final spot in the side.

Whitaker told reporters: "We have got five Test matches in a very short space of time and one of the other reasons to include six seamers is that we believe at some stage they are all going to play.

"So at the start of the series while they are talking about the Indians and strategy and tactics it makes sense to include that group."

James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Liam Plunkett and Chris Woakes make up the rest of the seam bowlers in the 13-man squad.
