James Tredwell: 'It's an exciting time for England'

James Tredwell insists that it is an exciting time to be involved with the England team.

James Tredwell has insisted that the future is bright for England ahead of the limited-overs series with the West Indies.

England are currently without a permanent head coach and arrived in the Caribbean on the back of a disappointing tour of Australia, but Tredwell believes that there is plenty to be optimistic about going forward.

"It's an exciting time," the spinner told journalists in Antigua. "You've got a lot of exciting younger players and some exciting senior ones as well.

"We will get things wrong along the way, I'm sure. But if we learn from those, and improve our skills as we go, it is an interesting time for the team."

The first one-day international between England and the West Indies takes place on Friday.
