Graeme Swann commits two more years to Nottinghamshire

England bowler Graeme Swann says that he is delighted to sign a new two-year contract with Nottinghamshire.

England bowler Graeme Swann has finalised a fresh two-year contract with Nottinghamshire.

The 33-year-old, whose deal will come into force if he loses his centrally-contracted status with England, has admitted that he is eager to spend the rest of his career with the County Cricket Club.

"Trent Bridge is the best ground in the country and I want to spend the rest of my playing days here," Swann told the club's official website.

"I'm wholly committed to England but if I'm ever dropped due to a lack of form then I will be back with Nottinghamshire. When Mick Newell signed me he told me that he wanted to win Championships and provide players for England and he has delivered on both fronts.

"I'm very proud of the achievements of the England team over the past few years because we have played some outstanding cricket and worked extremely hard to maintain our standards."

Swann moved to Trent Bridge in 2005.
