England all-rounder Samit Patel has revealed that he intends to continue to improve in order to get into the Test side for the series against India.
Patel hit an unbeaten 82 today against India 'A' and his batting has increased his chances of playing in the sub-continent, where extra spinners are essential.
"It's obviously great to get a good start in the first game and a good score - I feel great," he told ECB.co.uk.
"However there's still a lot of work to do and two games left, so I haven't got that position yet.
"I'm getting better, and the more games I play the better I'll be."
The first Test begins on November 15 in Ahmedabad.
