England wicketkeeper Matt Prior struck the first century of the County Championship season in Sussex's match with Middlesex this afternoon.
The 32-year-old, who was dropped for the final two Ashes Tests during the winter, reached 102 in the final over before lunch from 112 deliveries in 178 minutes.
He brought up his century thanks to successive boundaries off the bowling of Toby Roland-Jones.
Prior's England teammate, Steven Finn, has been Middlesex's most profitable bowler so far, having gone into the interval with figures of 2-36 from his 10 overs.
