England wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter defends teammates

England wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter claims that the team's batsmen can play spin, despite suffering a heavy loss to India in their Twenty20 clash yesterday.

England wicketkeeper Craig Kieswetter has insisted that he and his teammates remain "full of confidence" despite recording a disappointing defeat against India in the World Twenty20 tournament over the weekend.

The reigning champions failed to handle the attack of India's spin bowlers after getting bowled out for just 80 runs yesterday.

"If you look over the past 12 months the way we've played spin and the way we've played T20 cricket, we're number one in the world and number one for a reason," Kieswetter told BBC Radio Five Live.

"We just had a poor performance. The guys have proved they can play spin. We're not disheartened and full of confidence still."

Despite the defeat, England did make it through to the Super Eights stage.
