England bowler Jade Dernbach has joined Melbourne Stars ahead of the Big Bash Twenty20 tournament in Australia next month.
The 25-year-old will play in the same side as Shane Warne, who recently came out of retirement to represent the Stars.
Dernbach revealed that the presence of Warne, along with a number of other Australian cricketers, was a major factor behind his decision to sign for the club.
"I jumped at the opportunity to join the Stars," said Dernbach. "With the recently announced signing of Shane Warne plus the likes of [Cameron] White, [David] Hussey and [Peter] Siddle in the squad, I know we are going to be the team to watch in this competition."
Dernbach will be released for international duty should he be selected by England.
