William Porterfield's knock of 112 helps Ireland to make 269 runs from their 50 overs against England.

A century from William Porterfield helped Ireland to record a score of 269-7 during their one-day international against England in Dublin this afternoon.

The opener achieved that feat from 142 deliveries, including 14 fours and one six before he was bowled out by Boyd Rankin.

Rankin would go on to be England's most profitable bowler, claiming four wickets in total at a cost of 46 runs from his nine overs.

Spinner James Tredwell chipped in with figures of 2-35, while England's bowlers overall gifted their hosts 32 extras.

Ireland's second top scorer behind Porterfield was John Mooney, who added 27 runs before he was trapped lbw by Rankin.
