Stuart Broad has responded to his captain's latest failure with the bat by insisting that Alastair Cook will score a century in the series against India.
After over five sessions in the field at Trent Bridge, Cook's long wait ended with him making just five before being bowled by Mohammed Shami, but Broad believes that a return to form is just around the corner for the opener.
"Cookie is going through one of those periods where everything is going against him, but it only takes a dropped catch or a great cover drive to change that," the seamer told BBC Sport after watching his captain extend his run of innings without a century to 25.
"I'd put a lot of money on him getting a hundred in these next Tests."
England closed day two on 43-1, trailing the tourists by 414 runs.
