Sir Ian Botham expects comfortable England win against India

Former England captain Sir Ian Botham is confident that the current team will defeat India in their upcoming Test series.

Former England captain Sir Ian Botham has claimed that the current team should beat India in their upcoming Test series.

The five-Test series gets underway tomorrow at Trent Bridge.

Despite England's shaky form over the past year, Botham expects Alastair Cook's side to get back to winning ways thanks to home advantage.

"It's got to be an England win for me. India's batting is very strong but it's their bowling department where they are weak," he told Sky Sports News.

"England aren't playing well but I think India's bowlers will struggle and with home advantage England will have the edge."

India were beaten 4-0 the last time that they toured England in 2011.
