The ECB have confirmed that Ben Stokes will undergo a scan on the suspected dislocated shoulder that he sustained in the field earlier today.
In attempting to catch a Misbah-ul-Huq shot during the evening session on day one of the third Test, the England all-rounder landed awkwardly on his shoulder and signalled immediately that he was in pain.
After some treatment from the medical staff the 24-year-old was helped from the pitch with his right arm in a makeshift sling.
The initial suspicion was that Stokes has suffered a dislocation of the joint, but the extent of the damage will be confirmed tomorrow morning.
