Gary Ballance suffers fractured finger

England batsman Gary Ballance suffers a fracture to his little finger during training ahead of next month's World Cup.

England batsman Gary Ballance is expected to be fit for the World Cup despite fracturing his little finger during training in Australia.

The 25-year-old suffered the injury when taking part in catching practice during the interval of England's fixture with the Prime Minister's XI earlier this week.

However, with the injury scheduled to heal within three weeks, Ballance will remain with the squad as they prepare for the World Cup.

Ballance has played 12 one-day internationals since making his debut against Ireland in 2013.
