Moeen Ali has insisted that the booing Indian supporters did not have an impact on the way he approached Sunday's Twenty20 International at Edgbaston.
It is believed that the England all-rounder was jeered due to his Pakistani background, but he claims that the way he is received by opposing supporters will never bother him on the field.
"I wasn't too fussed," Ali told reporters. "It didn't affect me one bit. I kind of expected it a bit. It is just one of those things.
"When a small group starts booing you, everyone just jumps on the bandwagon a bit and it just built up from there.
"Hopefully, in the future, it won't be as bad, it will slowly die down and you see the same fans supporting England.
Professional Cricketers' Association chief executive Angus Porter apologised on Tuesday for suggesting that Ali should take the abuse as a "positive", rather than be offended.
