Andrew Strauss expects James Anderson to play for England against India tomorrow.

England captain Andrew Strauss has revealed that James Anderson is likely to start the fourth Test against India at the Oval tomorrow.

The seam bowler had suffered a thigh injury after England had defeated India at Edgbaston to become the number one test team in the world.

Durham bowler Graham Onions was called up to the squad as cover for 29-year-old, but Strauss expects Anderson to resume his duties.

"He seems absolutely fine," Strauss told reporters. "Like all these things it is a bit of a niggle, and we will wait and see how he is in the morning before deciding. But we are very comforted how he came through today."

Anderson sat out bowling practice yesterday, but took full part in a session this morning.
