England captain Eoin Morgan: 'We haven't clicked in this World Cup'

England captain Eoin Morgan believes that the team never "clicked" during their failed World Cup campaign.

England captain Eoin Morgan believes that the team haven't "clicked" in this World Cup, but is determined to remain as skipper.

Peter Moores's side failed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the tournament, and ended their campaign with a comfortable nine-wicket victory over Afghanistan today.

Despite the overall dismal showing, Morgan believes that the players can move forward and learn from their performances.

"We have learnt a lot from this tournament, but it's nice to finish on a win," BBC Sport quotes Morgan as saying. "We've got a good squad of players here and it's important to realise that we haven't clicked in this World Cup.

"It's been challenging, I've learnt a lot about myself, the other players and I've learnt from Peter Moores. I've spent more time with him, and I've enjoyed that. The hunger is still there to be captain."

England's only other win was against Scotland.
