England lose Kevin Pietersen before lunch

England are 98-3 at lunch on day four of the first Ashes Test against Australia in Brisbane.

England have lost one wicket in the first session on day four of the first Ashes Test in Brisbane.

Australia have an insurmountable 561-run lead and look likely to go 1-0 ahead with a day and a half left to take seven wickets.

Alastair Cook and Kevin Pietersen (26) came to the crease at the start of the day, and managed to put on 50 runs before the latter was caught chasing a short delivery from Mitchell Johnson.

That moved the left-arm fast bowler onto six wickets for the match, as he chases Stuart Broad's haul of eight.

The England captain has moved to 40 from 145 balls and will resume with Ian Bell (20) after lunch at 98-3.
