England bowler Mark Wood has warned Chris Rogers that he will face bouncers if he is passed fit to play in the third Ashes Test at Edgbaston.
The 37-year-old sustained a dizzy spell on the pitch at Lord's in the second Test after being struck on the head by a bouncer from James Anderson.
Rogers was forced to retire from his innings and his place for the third Test has been in doubt, although Australia are hopeful that he will be passed fit to play against the Three Lions.
Wood has admitted that if the batsman is on the pitch, he can expect no special treatment from the England attack at Edgbaston.
"It's never great when you see someone get hit or go down," Wood told reporters.
"You might have the intent or aggression to hit people but when they do get hit it's not really that nice, especially when he had a dizzy spell. If he declares himself fit for the next game that will not deter me from bowling a bouncer, though.
"If he's declared himself fit, then he's fit, as I'm sure the rest of our lads will think — Stokesy, Jimmy, Broady, Finny if he plays."
The third Test begins on Wednesday.
