Tim Bresnan is aiming to be fit for the opening Ashes Test in Brisbane next month as he continues to recover from a stress fracture.
The Yorkshire all-rounder will travel with England to Australia but his participation was in doubt.
He told the Bradford Telegraph and Argus: "Fingers crossed, I've not felt it since three days after I did it. It never even felt like a stress fracture to be fair.
"It was massively frustrating, but you can't just keep going with one of these otherwise they'll get bigger."
The first Test gets underway at The Gabba on November 21.
