Ian Bell: 'England's bowling display was one of the best'

England batsman Ian Bell hails the performances of his side's bowlers as the driving force for their eight-wicket win over Australia in the third Ashes Test.

England batsman Ian Bell has praised the performances of his side's bowlers in their victory over Australia in the third Ashes Test.

The Three Lions dismissed Michael Clarke's men for 136 and 265 in their two innings at Edgbaston as James Anderson and Steven Finn put in match-winning performances with the ball.

The bowling display left England needing 121 runs to win on day three, which they reached thanks to a half-century by Bell, securing an eight-wicket victory.

"The bowlers set the tone on day one. That was some of the best bowling I have been part of," Bell told Sky Sports News.

"It was a tough week last week at Lord's, Australia showed how to bounce back after Cardiff, and we've done exactly that.

"I didn't expect to be chasing 50, I expected 150-plus because it is Australia."

The fourth Test begins next week at Trent Bridge.
