Australia declare with 226-lead

England must score 227 runs to win the final Ashes Test following Australia's decision to declare.

Australia have set England a victory target of 227 runs in the fifth Ashes Test at The Oval.

Having bowled out the home side for 377 earlier today, the touring Aussies went about trying to score some quick runs before the tea break.

They eventually lost six wickets, but were still able to record a 111-run haul before the umpires called an end to the afternoon session.

During the break captain Michael Clarke, who was unbeaten on 28, decided to declare his side's innings, leaving them the evening session to try and bowl out the home side.

You can find out if it is a feat that they can achieve with Sports Mole's live text updates here.
