Mitchell Starc has insisted that Australia will continue to fight until defeat is confirmed after England moved to the brink of Ashes glory on the second day of the fourth Test at Trent Bridge.
Ben Stokes finished the day with figures of 5-35 as Australia slipped to 241-7, 90 runs behind the hosts, but Starc claims that the tourists will not give up easily on the third morning.
"It's been a tough couple of days of cricket but we are still alive. We'll come out again tomorrow and fight as hard as we can - that's the Australian way," the seamer told Sky Sports.
"Taking six wickets was special with this being an Ashes series, but I'd rather we were heading into day three in a better position."
Starc (0*) will begin the third day alongside the unbeaten Adam Voges (48*).
