Alastair Cook has said that England "have to keep believing" after they went 2-0 down in The Ashes.
Australia started day five needing four wickets to clinch victory in the second test and, despite Matt Prior reaching 69, they bowled England out for 312 runs.
Speaking after the match, Cook said that England have to work hard to stop their opponents from dominating, but believes that the current situation could change.
"We have to work as hard as we can on our games, look deep at ourselves - no-one's going to do it for us," he told BBC Sport.
"Australia are getting in dominant positions and making the most of it. We have to keep trying to put them under pressure, but cricket has strange ways of changing and we have to keep believing."
England travel to Perth for the third test.
