Wales boxer Zack Davies believes that it is his time to shine at the Commonwealth Games.
Davies got his light welterweight challenge underway this summer with victory over Thabiso Dlamini on Saturday evening.
"I have trained hard for this summer so this is the time to show what I can do," he told Sports Mole.
Davies was also asked about his plans for the future and the possibility of turning professional, but his focus is fully on the Games.
"I am just concentrating on the Games at the moment. I am taking it fight-by-fight. This fight is done now so it is on to the next one," said Davies.
Davies also joined the headguard debate and is pleased that the protection has been removed from the competition this summer.
"I feel much more free, you can see more. There is a risk of cutting, but I try not to get involved much," he added.
Davies will fight in the next round tomorrow afternoon.
