Tom Stalker is hoping to complete the amateur set of medals by placing at the London Games.

Team GB boxer Tom Stalker has said that he wants to win a medal at the London Olympics in order to complete the amateur medal set.

Stalker has already won medals at the World Championships, the European Championships and the Commonwealth Games, and wants to complete the set to make history in London.

"The dream is to get a medal at these Games," Eurosport quotes Stalker as saying.

"That would just be the icing on the cake for me, I've got every other medal there is to get as an amateur so to get the full set would be great.

"I would go down as the first boxer in history to medal in every major and that would be amazing, it's a huge incentive."

The 28-year-old Liverpudlian is captain of the Great Britain boxing team.
