Scott Quigg came back from a knockdown to defeat Jamie Arthur and retain his British super-bantamweight title in Bolton.
Arthur had the advantage in the opening rounds and knocked his opponent down in the fourth with a neat left jab.
The champion soon found his rhythm and landed a right in the eighth that caused Arthur to turn away. As Quigg went to finish the challenger, the referee stopped the bout.
Quigg said after the fight that he was open to a rematch due to the soft stoppage.
