Wladimir Klitschko defends heavyweight titles against Alex Leapai

Unified heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko stops Alex Leapai inside five rounds in Germany.

Wladimir Klitschko has defended his world heavyweight titles with a fifth-round stoppage of Alex Leapai.

The 38-year-old, who is unbeaten in the ring since 2004, signalled his intent when he dropped the Australian challenger early in the first round.

The contest continued to be one-way traffic and with less than a minute remaining in the fifth round, Klitschko floored Leapai again to record the 62nd triumph of his professional career.

The Ukrainian is now expected to put his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO belts on the line against mandatory challenger Kubrat Pulev later in the year.
