David Price returns with easy win

British heavyweight David Price returns to winning ways with a routine first-round stoppage of Istvan Ruzsinszky.

British heavyweight David Price has stopped Istvan Ruzsinszky in the first round of their bout in Germany.

Price, who had lost his previously two fights to American Tony Thompson, had little trouble in knocking down his Hungarian opponent after two minutes of the opening round.

The Liverpudlian eased into the encounter, but after connecting with a solid right, Price struck Ruzsinszky off his feet with another short right, and although his opponent made it back to his feet, the referee waved the match off.

Price improves his professional record to 16 wins in 18 bouts and is expected to return to action in the near future, as he attempts to re-establish himself in the division.
