Unbeaten heavyweight Tyson Fury will return to the ring on June 9 after confirming his competitive comeback.

The 29-year-old was last seen in the ring in November 2015 when ending Wladimir Klitschko's reign as world champion.

Fury has since been stripped of his belts due to inactivity related to mental health problems, as well as testing positive for a banned substance prior to that fight in Dusseldorf.

Two-and-a-half years on from his last outing, Fury has been cleared by the British Boxing Board of Control to resume boxing and has now set a date for his return in his home city of Manchester against an as-yet-unknown opponent.

The three titles held by the Brit now belong to Anthony Joshua, who beat Joseph Parker in Cardiff last month to unify the heavyweight division.
