Legendary boxing trainer Emanuel Steward has died at the age of 68, according to his close friend and fighter Johnathon Banks.
Steward had reportedly been battling a "serious stomach illness" for the past few months and was believed to be in bad health last night.
Banks broke the sad news on Twitter earlier today, posting: "He's gone but NEVER!! will be forgotten. You fought a good fight you finished your course. With tears i'm saying.. R.I.P. Emanuel steward"
During his illustrious career, Steward worked with icons such as Thomas Hearns, Lennox Lewis and more recently Wladimir Klitschko.
He was inducted into the boxing Hall of Fame in 1996.
