Scott Quigg wants rematch, Carl Frampton not keen

Scott Quigg expresses his desire for a rematch, while the victorious Carl Frampton is eager to move on "to bigger and better things".

Scott Quigg and Carl Frampton have a difference of opinion regarding a rematch following last night's meeting in Manchester.

Frampton beat Quigg thanks to a split decision to unify the super-bantamweight division and inflict a first ever professional defeat on his 27-year-old opponent.

Following the loss, a determined Quigg insisted that he has what it takes to overcome the Northern Irishman.

"The rematch is the fight I want. I 100% think I can beat him," he said.

However, the victorious Frampton admitted that while he would fight Quigg again if the public demanded to see it, his eyes are fixed on "bigger and better things".

"If I have to have a rematch and the public demands it, no problem. But, I'd rather move on to bigger and better things. The world's our oyster," said the 29-year-old.

There have been suggestions that Frampton is keen to face Mexico's WBA featherweight champion Leo Santa Cruz next.
