David Price would fight Vitali Klitschko "tomorrow"

David Price says that he would be willing to fight heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko "tomorrow".

David Price has said that he would be willing to fight Vitali Klitschko "tomorrow" if he was offered the chance.

The British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion fights Audley Harrison next month, but Liverpudlian Price admits that he would jump at the chance of a headline scrap with the WBC heavyweight champion.

"Watching [Klitschko vs. Manuel Charr], if I got that call to fight Vitali Klitschko tomorrow we'd take it," said Price. "I'm a great believer that the Klitschkos are ready to be taken but it's about the right time and the right deal.

"My career is not about the Klitschkos - it's about doing the right thing at the right time. I'm with a man who has done it all before in Frank Maloney and he's going to guide me down the right path.

"My trainer's got a big say on the path we're taking and we've not put a foot wrong so far."

Price squares off against Harrison on October 13 at the Liverpool Echo Arena.
