David Price believes that his defeat to Tony Thompson will be "ancient history" when he returns to winning ways.
The heavyweight suffered the shock second round stoppage to the American at the Liverpool Echo Arena on Saturday.
The Liverpudlian says that the defeat will be noted merely as a blip in his career if he wins his next couple of fights.
"I'm still the British and Commonwealth champion and, three fights down the line, this will be ancient history," Price told reporters.
"I didn't take a beating in there tonight - it was one of those shots. It caught my ear and my balance had gone. Sometimes it's best to come back as quickly as possible.
"It's heavyweight boxing, nobody's invincible. I'll come back from it."
Price's promoter Frank Maloney collapsed after the fight and was rushed to hospital.
