Manny Pacquiao claims his third victory over Juan Manuel Marquez by way of a narrow points victory to retain his WBO welterweight title.

Manny Pacquiao retained his WBO welterweight title with a narrow points victory over Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas.

Two of the three judges favoured the Filipino fighter while the third could not separate the pair.

Over the course of the fight the Pacman landed punches more consistently but it was the Mexican who delivered the biggest hits and finished the fight stronger.

Both men thought they had done enough for victory and when the verdict was delivered, Marquez was so upset that he stormed out of the ring.

It was the third time the pair have met, with Pacquiao winning on points in a similar fashion on the last occasion.

Speaking of the bout, Marquez said: "This was the second robbery and this one was the worst. We won with clearer punches.

"It's hard when you're fighting your rival and the three judges too."

Pacquiao has now won 15 consecutive fights.
