British super-middleweight Martin Murray has said that he only wants to compete in another world title bout if it takes place in Great Britain.
Last weekend, Murray failed in his fourth bid to become world champion on the road in losing to WBO title holder Arthur Abraham, and the St Helens puncher has admitted that the split-decision points defeat was the final straw as far as competing on foreign soil goes.
The 33-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I can't box away ever again. I started on the road and thought I was going to finish on the road. But this has made me think that if another shot comes up I just won't take it away from England.
"I don't want to retire. I feel like I'm just getting to my peak. I just need a bit of luck and a world title shot at home."
As well as a loss and a draw in Germany, Murray has also failed to dethrone champions Sergio Martinez and Gennady Golovkin in Buenos Aires and Monte Carlo respectively.
