Carlos Molina has revealed the happiness that he felt when his fight with Amir Khan became official.
The Californian will square off against the Bolton fighter in the early hours of Sunday morning, and Molina has spoken of his delight at the announcement of the bout.
"My manager [Frank Espinoza] called me up and asked how would I feel about fighting Amir Khan," Molina told Sky Sports' Behind The Ropes.
"I thought he was joking at first and I was like 'hey, bring it on' and then he called me the next day and said the fight was done. I was so happy, I couldn't sleep for two days.
"[The fight] can open doors to a world title fight, which has been my dream since I first put on gloves."
27-year-old Molina is unbeaten in 17 fights.
