Floyd Mayweather Jnr has described his time in jail as a "small obstacle" that he has overcome.
The unbeaten fighter served in a Las Vegas correctional facility over the summer for the battering of his ex-girlfriend and was released in August.
"It was a certain small obstacle that I went through in life," Mayweather told BoxingScene.com.
"Everybody goes through their obstacles in life, you live and learn and only the strong survive, and I'm one of the strong ones.
"You can never learn anything from losing your freedom but the main thing you appreciate is the small things like walking in the street and seeing people walk by you. It was a small obstacle, I done my time and stood strong.
"I'm still living, I'm still breathing, I'm still happy, I'm still healthy and I'm still going strong."
Mayweather has not fought since he beat Miguel Cotto in May.
