British middleweight Matthew Macklin will reportedly feature on the undercard of Paul Smith's WBO super-middleweight clash with Arthur Abraham next month.
Macklin had been due to compete in a WBC eliminator with Jorge Sebastian Heiland in Dublin this weekend before the event was scrapped after trainer Jamie Moore was shot twice in Marbella earlier this month.
However, according to reports in Spain, the 32-year-old, who is now being assisted by Joe Gallagher, will take part in a low-key bout in Kiel on September 27.
Macklin is attempting to secure a fourth world title shot after previously losing to Felix Sturm, Sergio Martinez and Gennady Golovkin.
