Josh Warrington keen on Lee Selby fight

British featherweight Josh Warrington admits that he would jump at the chance to challenge Lee Selby for the IBF title at Elland Road.

British featherweight Josh Warrington has said that he is ready for the big fights after establishing himself over the past two years.

Warrington has won the Commonwealth, British and European titles, while he currently holds the WBC international belt, which he will defend against Joel Brunker on September 5.

However, Warrington has admitted that he has his eyes on IBF title holder Lee Selby, and he has revealed that he would relish the chance to face him at Elland Road.

The 24-year-old told Sky Sports News: "If I got offered that tomorrow I'd take it. There are a lot of people around me saying 'slow down' because we've done quite a bit in a short space of time.

"When I was only 23 I'd picked up the British, Commonwealth and European titles and a lot of my size of fighters peak around 27, 28 or 29 and I'm only 24, so I am still developing and still growing and still maturing.

"I would love him to come to Elland Road, I really would. It'd be a hostile reception, shall we say. He says he will silence all my fans but I can tell you, even if he knocked me out he still wouldn't silence those fans."

Promoter Eddie Hearn has previously revealed that he would like to make the fight at some point during 2016.
