Matchroom boxing boss Eddie Hearn has confirmed that Carson Jones will be back on British soil later this year to take on Lee Purdy.
Jones was part of a hard-fought battle against Kell Brook in July, losing a narrow points decision to the Sheffield star.
Hearn took to Twitter earlier today to reveal the news, tweeting: "Delighted to confirm we have made @leepurdy1 v @carson_jones1 for December - confirmation of date and venue coming soon..what a fight!"
Purdy elevated his status by claiming the IBF International welterweight title earlier this month with a knockout victory over Gumersindo Lucas Carrasco.
