Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has said that he is aiming to have Tony Bellew back in action as soon as November.
Speaking to Sky Sports News immediately after Bellew's ninth-round stoppage victory over Edison Miranda, Hearn explained the plan to get Bellew in contention for a world title shot in 2013.
He said: "Tony had to be smart tonight, he took his time and it was a great performance.
"We need to sit down now, but I'd like Tony to come out on the undercard, as chief support to the Carl Froch bill on November 17.
"This guy is a big character with a big future, he's still only had 19 fights. He's going to be a massive star, we're going to make him huge and he is going to go on and win a world title next year."
Bellew's next fight now looks set for Nottingham on Saturday, November 17 as support to Carl Froch's title defence against Yusaf Mack.
