David Haye has insisted that he has the ability to become world heavyweight champion once again when he finally returns to the ring.
The former WBA champion, who lost that title to Wladimir Klitschko in 2011, has been battling a shoulder injury in recent months after pulling out of two scheduled bouts with Tyson Fury, but he is confident that he can reach the top of his sport in the future.
"The heavyweight division is a bit fragmented now. There are a few paths I could go down depending on the route I want, and that's being worked on at the moment," Haye told Sky Sports News.
"Believe it or not I will be the heavyweight champion again. It's just which way I go and how long it takes.
"There's a bit of work to do yet but it's exciting times ahead."
Haye's most recent fight was a victory over British rival Dereck Chisora in the summer of 2012.
