George Groves has been given a third shot at becoming a world champion after being booked to face Badou Jack in Las Vegas on September 12.
The 27-year-old recovered from successive defeats to British rival Carl Froch by beating Christopher Rebrasse and Denis Douglin in his last two fights, and he has been rewarded with a bout against WBC super-middleweight champion Jack on the undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr's meeting with Andre Berto.
"I have been fortunate enough to experience some of the greatest feelings the sport can give," Groves revealed in a statement.
"I have challenged for world titles and I have sold out stadiums, but my true childhood dream of winning a world title is yet to be fulfilled.
"I get that chance on the Las Vegas Strip, the creme de la creme for any fighter on the planet. I cannot wait to achieve my goal and become world champion."
Jack won his title by beating Anthony Dirrell on a majority decision in April.
