The British Boxing Board of Control confirm that they are looking into a string of verbal insults aimed at David Price by Tyson Fury.

Tyson Fury could be subject to punishment from the British Boxing Board of Control over a string of insults directed at heavyweight adversary David Price this weekend.

Fury aimed a verbal attack at Price following his vicious knockout win over Audley Harrison on Saturday night.

Price was then sent a hateful message on Twitter from Fury's account on Monday, which prompted the BBBoC to admit that they may be forced to launch disciplinary action.

Fury's tweet read: "I'm gonna smash your face in u ****house scouse **** I look in your eyes and see fear! Ill take your sole and give it the devil."

BBBoC general secretary Robert Smith told Press Association Sport: "I'm very disappointed by this. I've already spoken to the chairman Charles Giles about it this morning.

"I'm seeing him at an event tonight and we'll discuss it again then."

Price's promoter Frank Maloney has issued a £500,000 challenge to Fury to face the British and Commonwealth champion next year.
