Super-middleweight world champion Carl Froch has claimed that his legacy already exceeds Joe Calzaghe, whether he beats Mikkel Kessler or not.
Froch is currently preparing for his unification clash with Kessler in May, having lost to the Dane in 2010.
The 35-year-old has been involved in a string of big world title fights since 2008, including impressive wins over Jean Pascal, Lucien Bute and Jermain Taylor.
Former undisputed champion Calzaghe, retired unbeaten in 2009, having beaten the likes of Bernard Hopkins, Jeff Lacy and Kessler, but having never fought Froch.
"I don't like to talk Joe Calzaghe down but when you look at his career and the people he has beaten, then I've fought more unbeaten fighters, more than anyone in Britain as world champion," Froch told Boxing Scene.
"I'm taking unbeaten scalps and fighting at a higher level. Calzaghe has two or three names which stand out. I've got 10 or 12.
"To beat Kessler, would that silence the critics? You'll never silence the critics. Floyd Mayweather gets stick and he's the unbeaten pound-for-pound best."
Froch will take on Kessler in London on May 25.
