Carl Froch: 'I gave Manny Pacquiao two rounds against Floyd Mayweather Jr'

Britain's world champion Carl Froch argues that Manny Pacquiao only won two rounds during his points defeat to Floyd Mayweather Jr in Las Vegas.

World super-middleweight champion Carl Froch believes that Floyd Mayweather Jr delivered a "one-sided whooping" to Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.

The 38-year-old American maintained his unbeaten professional record with a points victory over the Filipino after an assured 12 rounds of counter-attacking and defence.

Briton Froch believes that Pacquiao was outclassed by Mayweather at the MGM Grand Arena.

He told Sky Sports News: "That was a one-sided whooping. I gave him [Pacquiao] two rounds at best and for boxing fans that was a purist's fight.

Froch added: "He [Mayweather] deserves every single penny he gets."

Mayweather is expected to return to the ring in September for what is expected to be a farewell bout.
