Carl Froch delighted with Mikkel Kessler prepations

Carl Froch believes that he is reaching peak physical condition ahead of his May 25 rematch with Mikkel Kessler.

Carl Froch has declared that preparations for next month's rematch with Mikkel Kessler are right on schedule as he works towards peak physical condition for the unification clash.

The Nottingham super-middleweight is looking to avenge his first professional defeat when he collides with the 'Viking Warrior' at the O2 Arena on Saturday, May 25.

Froch believes that his pre-fight regime, devised by long-time trainer Robert McCracken, is building at the right pace and helping shape his mindset for a career-defining fight.

He said: "I am exactly where I want to be with May 25 beginning to come into view.

"I am getting that tingle in my hands and down my spine now, I know that feeling well and it means that I'm ready to fight. It is such a huge occasion for me but it's nights like this where I thrive and stand up to be counted.

"I feel like everything is clicking in training and sparring has been fantastic, I couldn't ask to be in a better place than I am right now."

Froch's return against Kessler headlines a bill at the O2 Arena which also features George Groves and Tony Bellew's rematch with Isaac Chilemba.
